Tagaytay: Simply Paradise
Tagaytay, officially the City of Tagaytay, is a 2nd class city in the province of Cavite, Philippines. It has a population of 71,181 people (as of 2015) and it is one of the most visited cities in the Philippines because of its cold weather, panoramic view of Taal Lake and of course the world's famous Taal Volcano which erupted last January 2020, spewing ash and volcanic rocks high up into the air, affecting many cities including some cities in Cavite, Batangas and even Metro Manila.
Things to do in Tagaytay:
Most of tagaytay attractions are just walking distance from your chosen accommodation. I highly suggest choose an accommodation that is walking distance from your favorite attraction specially when you do not own a car. But you can take public transportation if needed.
Here are some places that you might want to visit and experience.
Some locals just calls it People's Park but it's original name is Palace in the Sky. It is a historical urban park in tagaytay. The park was converted from an incomplete mansion, known as the Palace in the Sky. It was built during the Marcos era to host the visit of US President Ronald Reagan. Construction stops when Reagan cancelled his visit. This park is famous for its panoramic view of taal lake. There is an entrance fee of 50 pesos.
